Who I am
I'm a petite Southern gal who loves God, family and country. Yes, I speak with a Southern accent and will answer to any of these names: Mama, Sweetheart, Gigi and "La Petite Générale." I love to start my day with a good cup of coffee and finish it with a good glass of red wine. I'm an average woman simply trying to live an honorable life. My story has been marked with many colorful chapters: unplanned birth, adoption, abandonment, divorce, military service, young marriage, motherhood, grandchildren, long-lost reunifications and death. Life certainly hasn't always been easy; I've made a ton of mistakes and had to learn things the hard way. Yet, some would say I have a "fairy tale" life. Ironic. But, maybe it is in the irony that I was able to find God.
Why I do this
I want my life to count. I want to use the spiritual gifts God gave me for something meaningful. I want to leave a legacy and when I come face-to-face with my maker I want to hear Him say, "Job well done, my good and faithful servant." If I can share my experiences, share the wisdom I've been given and share God's truths and help just one single person then I will count myself a success.
The initial spark...
The story behind the spark is a rather long one. If you are truly interested, read my very first blog:
It will give you all the nitty-gritty details and more.
It is my prayer, that you will see my heart and hear God' messages in the pages of this blog.
And just maybe you will discover and ignite the God-given spark that smolders within you!
